I am not sure about the answer to your question, but I'm pretty sure the Church would not allow a mother with children at home to become a professed hermit; the vocation to family would, I believe, have to come first. But children grow quickly, and when they become adults, you would be able to become a hermitess. Also, you could at this point in your life become a consecrated widow, I believe. I am not sure how that is done. Even the anchoritic profession is not something done often these days. If you feel you are called to a life of prayer and reparation, you can begin to live that life even if you have to live the life of a secular at the same time. That's what I have done. It's not always easy, but God makes it possible. I hope this helps!Hermitess Photinihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02763098171514315134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7801156398129285623.post-35849631279454083192013-06-03T20:43:10.046-07:002013-06-03T20:43:10.046-07:00Hi, I have a question. I am widowed with children. I too am called to a life of prayer and reparation. Does the church allow mothers with children to become professed hermits? I cannot find that information anywhere online. God bless you! GwendolynDreaming of The Belovedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18065809330341647904noreply@blogger.com
