A Fall Drive

Last weekend, I made a quick trip to my favorite place to go to Mass, in order to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King. It's about a 6-hour drive from my home, which is a long way to go for Mass (I stayed overnight!), but it's such a pretty drive, I don't mind it.

Here are a few highlights on the way there:

Sunrise

Almost every morning, I take my cup of coffee and sit out on the front deck and watch the sunrise (while the dogs beg me to throw a ball for them). Sometimes I take photos. After a cup of coffee, I generally go for my Rosary walk, and some mornings I take photos of the scenery along the way.

Here's a sampling from this summer.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.

Just Some Pretty Pictures

I resumed my morning walks a while back. I'm such a fair-weather walker...

At any rate, here are a few photos from those early mornings.

Here are a few from this time of the year at other places:

On the Road

I was on the road for a couple of days. Really, I do not like going away from home, away from the environment and the schedule I have here that is so conducive to prayer.

But I do enjoy driving through beautiful scenery, and of course one can give thanks for God's wondrous creation.

Here are some photos:
